| Stage 1: Community Assessment The initial stage involved activities that provided many community members with the opportunity to offer their views regarding inclusion and diversity in the community. It also offered an opportunity for the Aboriginal, Francophone and multicultural service sector to assess current and future needs. |
| Stage 2: Coalition Preparation The second stage was organized to promote cultural awareness and coalition-building with the economic development sector and community members. Information was also gathered about the issues identified so people involved in creating the action plan could make informed suggestions and recommendations. |
| Stage 3: Action Plan The third stage of the Diversity Thrives Here! project was designed to bring community leaders and community members together to collaboratively establish a vision and actions to include in the Diversity Plan for the City of Greater Sudbury. |
