Vision:
To ensure that the City of Greater Sudbury is a welcoming and inclusive community for all people, particularly the Aboriginal, Francophone and muliticultural communities.
Mandate:
The Diversity Advisory Committee shall use its knowledge and expertise to provide advice to the City of Greater Sudbury Council on, and act as a liaison with any/all external bodies to, the harmonious participation in public life within the boundaries of the City of Greater Sudbury. The Committee will also help foster the achievement of cultural, social and economic well being for all current and future citizens as well as those who visit. The Diversity Advisory Committee shall address the specific issues facing our various communities, develop options for Council's consideration and make recommendations for positive changes that shall improve the quality of life for the citizens of Greater Sudbury's diverse communities.

The Diversity Advisory Committee Meetings:
The Diversity Advisory Committee will meet at least 10 times per year, with meetings times, dates, etc., as scheduled by the Committee or at the call of the Chair, as needed. The agenda for each meeting will be set in collaboration with the designated Diversity Advisory Committee Chair and designated support staff of the City of Greater Sudbury Corporation.
